Mechanism of Action (MOA)

Osteoporosis bonesCalcium is required for normal body functioning of cells, nerves, muscles, and bones. It is also important in the regulation of muscle contraction and relaxation and in the secretion of hormones some hormones like insulin. Insufficient calcium in the bloodstream results in the body utilizing calcium stored in the bones that results in weakening of the bones. Shelcal 500 provides the body with calcium preventing it from using the one in the bones and also ensures that that taken from the bones is replaced making the bones and teeth stronger. When the levels of calcium in body fluids are of recommended levels, muscle contraction, nerve transmission, and cells work well too.

Vitamin D3 is important in the absorption of calcium and phosphorus from the gut. Thus the vitamin D3 in Shelcal 500 ensures that calcium taken is absorbed. Calcium and phosphorus are used in bone mineralization thus stronger bones and teeth.
